Shodo refers to the art, or the “way” of calligraphy”.
Watching a master create his art. Shotei Ibata of Kyoto, Japan. Master calligrapher, internationally known performance calligrapher with a human-sized brush. I was fortunate to visit him with our group and informed guide then return the following week for a private lesson in Sumi-e brush painting.
