About the artwork;
The lovely Kikuya, a “maiko” (young geisha) and truly the embodiment of the ancient art. Geisha means “artisan”. A living, breathing, changing, serving, elegant artist. Gion district in Kyoto is home to the largest concentration of Geisha in Japan.
