Description
The Story behind this piece of artwork:
Inspired by a personal manifesto; “Art is made one mark at a time”, this Small Work is from my Make Art Every Day; an ongoing project which began January 2017. I believe the value and meaning of a given piece is not inherent to it’s size (tiny or big) rather to the motivation behind the intention.
I now have a growing collection of these Small Works for sale. Each is uniquely original and one-of-a-kind as no prints are made of these works.
While procrastination and the inner critic are too often lurking, I’ve become wise to the necessity of taking “baby steps”. To devote time and attention to the practice of art, to nurture the spirit and self-confidence on a consistent basis. Which inevitably leads to discovery and joy knowing that art is made, “one mark at a time” however arduous or liberating that may feel in a given moment.
