About the Course:
Developed by Chris Germer and Kristin Neff through the Center for Mindful Self-Compassion, MSC is an evidence-based program which weaves mindfulness with compassion practices to support emotional resilience, reduce self-criticism, and help us meet our very human lives with more warmth and steadiness.
This Course Supports You in Learning How To:
- Practice self-compassion in daily life.
- Understand why self-compassion matters.
- Hold difficult emotions with greater stability.
- Encourage yourself with kindness instead of self-criticism.
- Slow down, savor what’s good, and appreciate yourself more.
Who is this for?
- Anyone 18 years and older navigating the tender, messy, and meaningful experience of being human; especially those who care deeply or tend to be hard on themselves.
- No prior mindfulness or meditation experience is needed. Just a willingness to show up as you are.
- While the course gently explores our emotional lives and shared human experiences, it is not a form of therapy or counseling. Rather, it offers a supportive learning environment where we cultivate mindfulness and compassion skills that can complement, though not replace, therapeutic or clinical care.
Your Teachers:
Currently completing teacher training through the Center for Mindful Self Compassion, Deborah and Carol share this work with care and enthusiasm. They are passionate about supporting people in building the capacity to meet life’s challenges with kindness and in finding greater ease, warmth and connection in everyday life.
