About the artwork;

Itadakimasu meaning, “I humbly receive this with deep appreciation”. Which is how I felt during the tea ceremony offered by the abbot (Ohayo Gozaimasu) of the sub-temple, Zuiho-in, located on the grounds of the 700 year old Daitoku-ji which is a Rinzai Zen monastery and one of Japan’s most significant sites, aesthetically, historically and culturally.
