About the artwork;

While living and studying in Nepal, I had the honor of staying with a Tibetan Monk and his family who, for several generations, shared a multi-generational household on the rim of Boudhanath Stupa (temple).  Built in the 14th centruy, Boudha is the largest Stupa in Nepal and the holiest Tibetan Buddhist temple outsie Tibet. It is the center of Tibetan culture in Kathmandu and rich in Buddhist symbolism as shown by the myriads of pilgrims, both local and afar, who circumambulate this great feature everyday.  I would awake early each morning to the low pitching prayer-chanting and whirring of spinning prayer wheels.
