About the artwork;
En route from Santa Fe to Chimayo, NM, I hit the breaks when I see this 30 foot steel cross looming over the open landscapes and the 20 foot long cloth wildly undulating in the desert winds. I am reminded of spiritual cultures blending; like the silken Khata scarf of a Tibetan monk symbolizing purity and compassion juxtaposed with the Christian cross symbolizing sacrifice and atonement.
